Say hello, wave goodbye
We have some sad news.
Viola as you have known it for the past 3 years is no more. Yesterday at Tampere was the last time we performed as the four piece that recorded 'Tearcandy'. The future is still quite open, as for now we will continue making similar music as a duo under the same name - for better or worse. The second record will be made in the planned schedule and will still be released when promised (November 23rd). Obviously the direction of the music will alter somewhat to a more electronic direction, but what exactly is to come remains a mystery for now. We will not be replacing Anu and Esa with a new keyboardist and a new bass player as they were already the best ones imaginable for the Viola that ended today.
The exact details of why this happened will be kept to the four of us, as it is nobody's business but ours. It has nothing to do with the quality of Anu's or Esa's musicianship and there are no ill feelings whatsoever towards them. We are forever and immeasurably thankful of and in appreciation to everything they've given us in years past and truly hope that they will find paths in their lives - musical and otherwise - that we couldn't have provided them.
