The 7th Annual Viola's Day Fest!
Like a summer's first swallow comes again the 3rd of June, Viola's own special day, and now it's time to unveil what this year's festivities in Semifinal, Helsinki will be like. Firstly, Tommi is at the moment touring with Echo Is Your Love in United States and sadly won't be physically present on that special Saturday night. But since we couldn't let our precious tradition to break, the other three of Viola live line-up will carry the torch with pride, aided by the astral spirit of Tommi, and a fellow If Society group.
In a traditional Viola's day manner there will be three sets. For the fifth year in a row the evening starts with a cover set, this year's theme being the power ballads. So bring your handkerchiefs and prepare for the Grand Canyon of emotions as we plunge through some tearjerking ballads with weepies from various decades. Of course we'll play a set of our own songs too, but the special treat, for ourselves also, will be our friends and labelmates, the wonderful Red Carpet playing Viola songs and maybe something else too. DJ Pearly and Some Other Guy will handle the record-playing duties for the evening.
It should be an interesting evening so if you're in Helsinki join us and come see the shows. And if you're in Richmond go see Echo Is Your Love.
